It has been endlessly documented that psychotherapy is enhanced when hypnosis is integrated into the therapeutic strategy.
Every website that promotes hypnotherapy, justifiably lists the important conditions that interrupt our everyday life and when hypnosis can be of real benefit.
Conditions that hurt us both physically and psychologically, times when things just seem too big to jump over or to walk around. Times when our self-esteem is low and when anxiety is high or when we have no feeling at all.
The aim in every session is to have a resolution to your problem.
It should be made clear that not every problem is a “one session only” process and that in the world of modern hypnosis, the power for change sits firmly with the client, not solely the clinician. My role as a practitioner is to assist my clients access their resources, to remind them of past victories and use those resources to make a “shift” in their decision making and thought matching patterns.
Sessions with my clients do not involve spending time trying to “label” a problem, establishing a label for a behavior does not necessarily help fix the problem now!
The process of hypnosis is certainly a relaxing, almost spiritual experience for most people. Clinical hypnosis however has a goal to every session; it is not just a relaxing “timeout”.
The process should not be underrated, as the results can be very powerful and life changing.
I have a particular interest in assisting clients to live a healthy, full life, particularly in the areas of weight loss (where both The Virtual Gastric Band and other processes are available), smoking cessation, self-esteem, anxiety, pain management, PTSD and executive health and performance.
Other areas where hypnosis is extremely helpful are (but not limited to):
Phobias of all kinds
and of course:
Weight loss or gain and lifestyle management
I hope we have the opportunity to work together and create new possibilities for you.
